Whether you dream of a grand celebration or an intimate ceremony, Oxfordshire has it all, with Oxfordshire wedding venues offering something for every taste and style.

Established in the North corner of the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire, Primrose Hill Farm is conveniently located a 15-minute drive from the M40 motorway, a 55-minute train ride from London, and an hour's drive from Birmingham International and Heathrow airports, respectively.

We're also about a 20-minute drive from Stratford Upon Avon with its cultural delights and medieval frontage, and Oxford is roughly a 40-minute drive away.

One of Primrose Hill Farm's beautiful features is its landscape of 120 acres of Cotswold pasture land.

So, although it feels a long way from anywhere when sat with a drink in hand gazing at the views, we're actually very well located for accessibility and not that far from civilisation at all.

Stunning Barn Wedding Venue

We delight in creating a truly romantic setting for our wedding guests here at Primrose, and our purposefully renovated Grade II-listed barns make the ideal wedding backdrop.

We endeavour to go above and beyond with our offerings, whether there are requests for a civil ceremony here in the Ceremony Barn or a church wedding at the nearby St Peter's Church (Radway), which offers rustic charm and a tranquil ambiance.

Other churches in the area include St Botolph Church in Farnborough, Burton Dassett Church on the glorious Burton Dassett hills, plus churches in Kineton and beyond.

We encourage all prospective wedding guests to visit the nearby churches to get a feel for them when planning their wedding.

In truth, the North Cotswolds area is renowned for its historical charm, and there are many beautiful churches on our doorstep, each with a different style and feel, making for a wonderfully unique experience.

Alternatively, if you choose the civil ceremonies route, we have our dedicated Ceremony Barn on site, which creates a seamless transition for the wedding party once the nuptials have taken place. This is characteristic of our exclusive venue offering - we only have one wedding at a time, meaning the entire premises are available to you and your guests.

In addition, we have a dedicated bridal suite named the Orchard Barn, available from as early as 7:30 a.m. on the morning of a wedding so the bride can get ready at her leisure, away from the bustle of the guests arriving.

There's ample room for bridesmaids, friends, and relatives, with a kitchen, bathroom, lounge, and dressing room all at your disposal. Our friendly staff are on hand to deliver two complimentary bottles of champagne, fruits, cookies, and flapjacks to get the celebrations started early.

We provide a treasure trove of knowledge regarding nearby accommodations, from quaint B&Bs to charismatic farmhouses, camping and glamping, budget hotels, and panoramic glass-fronted complexes with generous outdoor spaces.

Here are some of our recommendations, but there are even more in our 2025 wedding brochure.

Local Specialties

With abundant local food and drink inspired by the Cotswold countryside on offer, Oxfordshire truly lives up to its reputation as a 'foodie haven'.

There are pubs, restaurants, bars, and ice cream stands close by, meaning you are literally spoilt for choice when it comes to food options for your wedding.

At Primrose Hill Farm, we're fortunate to have our in-house hospitality specialists, The Kitchen & Co, ready to cater for every wedding and event we host. They serve elegant, extraordinary-tasting, beautiful dishes that are sure to appeal to the most avid tastes. Of course, such elegant food makes for wonderful wedding photos too.

Local honey, jams, and breads are also available, and there are even some wineries within an hour's drive that produce some of the finest English wines.

Another popular feature of Oxfordshire is its various beautiful gardens year-round, some of which are privately owned yet open to the public to enjoy at certain times.

Primrose Hill Farm offers its guests a delightful orchard with freshly mown lawn paths to meander at leisure. Several walks into the nearby hills and fields are also on our doorstep, which might take your fancy if you're looking for alternative wedding photos or simply a stretch of the legs and a breath of fresh air!
